The FamilyCare Christmas Appeal started in November and ran until December 21, with the goal of raising funds and collecting donations of vouchers, gifts, food and hampers to make Christmas special for families in our local community. Funds donated went directly towards purchasing food items for the hampers.
The baskets of Joy were collected on Monday 14 December—what a fantastic and overwhelming response we have had from the Shepparton Community. Thanks to all the staff and Belinda and Bec from COGS who tirelessly drove around Shepparton and surrounds to collect the baskets and to the Community Fund Goulburn Valley for their support with making this happen.
The donations far exceeded any of our expectations and we were able to provide more than enough food and gifts to our families this Christmas.
