Child and Family Workers - Intensive
2 full time positions available

Wallan

 

These new positions work intensively with families and require an individual with experience working in the Child and Family Services or Child Protection sector. Intensive Family Services response works with families whose children are subject to Family Preservation or Family Reunification Orders. This role works intensively with families in partnership with Child Protection (and other services where required) to achieve Child Protection case plan goals.

ChildFIRST Intake Worker

Seymour

 

ChildFIRST is the first point for referral entry to FamilyCare Child and Family Service. This position requires someone with qualifications and experience relevant to Social Welfare practice and with a sound understanding of the issues impacting families, children and young people. You will be required to undertake initial assessment and provide a range of short term interventions and risk assessment. Child and Family Worker

This position requires the successful applicant to work with families to support them with their goals, it would be suited to either and experienced worker or a graduate. This role can work from either the Seymour or Wallan office. Early Years Worker

Cradle to Kinder and Parenting Assessment Skills Development Programs

Full time

Seymour

 

This position is made up of two specific roles being; Early Years Worker Cradle to Kinder and Parenting Assessment Skills Development Worker. These two roles make one full time position working from FamilyCare's Seymour office.

The Early Years Cradle to Kinder (C2K) component of the position works with families where the children are up to 18 years of age. You work to enhance family, child and young people's health and wellbeing, to prevent child abuse and neglect and support the family through major life transitions and times of difficulty.

 

Parenting Assessment Skills Development (PASD) program provides an intensive in home family intervention services to work with families to address protective concerns and enhance family functioning. The focus for the PASD position is when an infant (zero to two years) is involved with Child Protection and assessed to be at high risk and there are concerns regarding the parent's ability to provide care for the infant. Case management experience and experience working with infants, children and young people at risk would be a benefit.
