People In Partnerships

People in Partnership is a voluntary program, that seeks to work in collaboration with the services offered at FamilyCare supplementing and enhancing the efforts of the workers who are a resource to families within our communities.
Volunteers are seen as one of a variety of resources which families may choose to access in the pursuit of their identified family goals.
People in Partnership reflect the competency based and solution focused practice philosophy of the agency.

Volunteers may work with one or more individuals, children and families at any one time, in the home of the family or in the local community. Some volunteers may also offer administrative support to programs, while others may offer their handyman services to the agency.
Family Care is always ready to recruit and train volunteers to work with individuals, children and families on practical and emotional life issues.

The Book Inn

The Book Inn is a second hand book store and is situated in Shepparton. It is manned by a very supportive, loyal and dedicated band of volunteers who will happily assist if you.
There is something for everyone of all ages to enjoy. The Book Inn is stocked with a large variety of novels, children's books, craft and handyman books, history books, religious stories, even rare books.
The Book Inn is open between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday and you are welcome to browse or purchase books.

For those who are cleaning out their bookcases we will gladly accept all donations. You are able to leave boxes on the doorstep seven days per week.
The Book Inn is situated at the rear of 15 Welsford Street Shepparton (beside the RSL Bowling Green). You are also able to access The Book Inn via the laneway at The Bridge, 94 Wyndham Street, Shepparton.
